Facebook Business Strategy: 5 Effective Ways for Promoting Your Business on Facebook

Promoting your business can be a problem if you don’t have a strategy to lead you there. This blog article will show you how to promote your business on Facebook in a non-pushy non-spammy way.

1. Create a Business Page

Facebook wasn’t started on creating a social network for businesses. Over time though, businesses have found that Facebook is where many of their audience hangs out. The social platform changes its algorithm so that businesses aren’t showing up as much on people’s feeds. That shouldn’t stop you from keeping your business on the app.

The first thing you want to do is to have a professional Facebook account present by building a business page for your business. Unfortunately, instead of adding someone as a friend to your page you must add them and ask them to “like” your page to see its posts.

When you set up your business page make sure you customize it to include your logo and branding.

Add information like product business hours and your website to the profile and cover photos to reflect what your business does.

2. Be Consistent

The biggest struggle for my business clients is staying consistent with their social media presence. Posting regularly will boost your online presence. You can post as much as you want, but try to do it at least once a day with posts that are relevant to your audience and possibly something they can engage in.

If you don’t have a big following yet, you don’t want to post asking a question because you probably won’t get a response. Instead, post quality content that includes behind-the-scenes photos of your employees or your product to show what you’re all about. You can use the app’s insights section to show how much people are engaging with each post and how many people it reaches.

3. Facebook Promotion

When you first create your page, send invites through Facebook to your current customers, and or your email list. Start adding your business page in your email signature as well as your business cards. Make sure your website links your Facebook page and any marketing materials you create have the link as well. To get people to like your page, add a special promo or coupon.

Show up in Facebook Groups

4. Show up in Facebook Groups

When you join Facebook groups you can add to the conversation and lead people to your page. Don’t sound like a salesy person though. Give insight about a new product you have used or tools you like, and people will start to follow you. They follow you because they start to trust you and they like the information you give. You can also host a contest on your business page and ask people in groups to enter your contest.

5. Try Facebook Ads

After utilizing the tips above if you are still trying to reach people and haven’t had much luck organically, you can try Facebook ads. Facebook ads look like normal posts but are highly targeted to reach more people.

It’s easy to create an ad that targets specific audiences. You can target people by location, age, gender, and interest. The analytics tool Facebook offers can help you understand which one drives more interest and sales.

These tips will help you grow your Facebook business page today. If you need more help on the social media side of your business don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I have lots of posts on my blog about social media but I’m always open to more questions.
